Project overview
This Tustin home has red brick, black lanterns and formal planters. Its plain white garage doors were the one piece that didn't fit. The owners wanted doors that looked like custom carriage-house doors.
We installed two insulated steel doors with a black carriage-house design and an arched board pattern, along with new springs and quiet hardware.
Client requirements
The owners wanted a high-end carriage look that matched their black exterior trim and lanterns.
- Carriage design to suit traditional brick
- Black finish to match the trim
- Insulated and quiet
- Both doors done in one day
Our solutions
We brought design samples and helped the owners choose a pattern that echoed the arches over their front windows.
1. Custom design:
Black insulated carriage doors with an arched board pattern.
2. Springs and tracks:
New torsion springs and tracks matched to the heavier doors.
3. Quiet rollers:
Sealed-bearing nylon rollers on both doors.
4. Opener tune:
Existing openers rebalanced and reprogrammed.
Result & client feedback
The doors now match the rest of the house, and neighbors have stopped by to ask who installed them. Interested in something similar? Read about our garage door installation service.
