Project overview
A Fountain Valley family built a red barn-style detached garage and workshop on their large lot. They wanted doors that looked like stained wood, to suit the barn look, without needing to be refinished every few years.
We installed two insulated steel doors with a realistic woodgrain finish and window tops, along with openers, LED lighting and keypads for both doors.
Client requirements
The doors had to look like real wood on a farmhouse-style building and stand up to sprinklers and sun.
- Wood look with no refinishing
- Insulation for a workshop
- Openers and keypads on both doors
- Install around other trades on site
Our solutions
We chose woodgrain-finish steel doors and coordinated with the framer and electrician on the opener locations.
1. Woodgrain doors:
Insulated steel doors with a stained-wood look and window tops.
2. Openers:
Belt-drive openers with LED lights and battery backup.
3. Keypads:
Wireless keypads so the kids can get bikes out without remotes.
4. Weather seal:
Bottom seals and jamb seals against sprinkler overspray.
Result & client feedback
The barn looks just like the owners imagined, and the workshop inside stays comfortable year-round. Interested in something similar? Read about our garage door installation service.
