Project overview
A Santa Ana equipment yard added a tall metal building to store machinery. It needed a large opening that could be closed securely at night and opened by hand if the power went out.
We installed a white galvanized rolling steel door with a chain hoist operator, heavy guides and a slide lock.
Client requirements
The owner wanted a simple, rugged door that would keep working with little maintenance.
- Large opening for equipment
- Manual operation with no power needed
- Lockable for overnight security
- Low maintenance
Our solutions
We chose a manual chain hoist rolling door with a barrel spring sized for easy lifting.
1. Galvanized curtain:
White galvanized steel slats that resist rust and dents.
2. Chain hoist:
Geared chain hoist so one person can open the door easily.
3. Heavy guides:
Bolted guides with wind locks and a sturdy bottom bar.
4. Security:
Slide lock and padlock hasp at floor level.
Result & client feedback
The door opens smoothly by hand in under a minute and locks securely at the end of the day. Interested in something similar? Read about our commercial garage door repair service.
