Project overview
This Huntington Beach home has two single garage doors set in brick. The old doors had dents and dated short panels. The owners wanted a modern look and more light in the garage, where they work on bikes and surfboards.
We installed two gray insulated steel doors with a long-panel design and clear window tops, plus new springs, tracks and seals.
Client requirements
The owners wanted a clean modern design that suited the red brick, with natural light for their workshop.
- Modern design to suit red brick
- Daylight for a garage workshop
- Insulation against afternoon heat
- Both doors installed the same day
Our solutions
We showed the owners photos of similar local homes and helped them choose the color and window style.
1. Long-panel doors:
Insulated steel long-panel doors in a charcoal gray finish.
2. Window tops:
A full row of clear window lites in the top section.
3. New hardware:
Torsion springs, tracks and nylon rollers for both doors.
4. Weather seal:
New bottom seals and perimeter stop molding.
Result & client feedback
Both doors went in on the same day. The garage is lighter and noticeably cooler on summer afternoons. Interested in something similar? Read about our garage door installation service.
"We don't need the lights on in the garage during the day anymore, and the house looks so much better."
